9th International Workshop on Long-Term Prediction of Corrosion in Nuclear Waste Systems (LTC2025) took place Nov 3–7, 2025 in Sendai, Japan. It was a Congress event for corrosion and materials science professionals in the Asia region. The conference will feature oral and poster presentations on topics related to the corrosion behavior of materials in nuclear waste storage and disposal facilities. Subjects will include laboratory tests, corrosion in transitional environments, radiolysis, stress corrosion cracking, hydrogen embrittlement, long-term corrosion, microbially influenced corrosion, corrosion sensors, large-scale tests, in situ tests, modelling and prediction, natural analogues, and regulatory perspectives.
